Contract: 26 weeks · 37 hours per week · 2 vacancies Working pattern: Minimum of 3 days in the office Job description: Review job description Job description We have two Social Worker agency posts which we are advertising for 6 months. You will be specifically employed whilst we are preparing the changes to the Safeguarding Teams through the introduction of our Family Help Team. You will specifically be focusing on working with families who have been identified to require Child in Need support. It will be your role to provide social work intervention, work with our multi-agency partners, whilst having access to our Family Safeguarding Adult Workers who support families experiencing mental health, domestic abuse and substance misuse challenges. You will complete up to date assessments to determine the most appropriate support mechanism for children and their families. You will work as part of a team of other social worker's and will be part of the wider Safeguarding Team. We’re looking for a children’s social worker with a strong background in statutory safeguarding. The role is likely to involve complex Child in Need and Child Protection work, including risk assessment, Section 47 enquiries and coordinated multi-agency planning. Previous experience of PLO or court work would be an advantage. This suits someone already confident managing demanding safeguarding cases in a busy frontline service.
