FAQ - Recruit & Reward

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about applying, advertising, candidate rewards, and how Recruit & Reward works.

Recruit & Reward is a recruitment advertising platform where a recruiter’s upfront advertising spend helps fund a cash reward for the successful candidate.

The platform is designed to redirect part of the money normally spent on job advertising into a visible candidate reward attached to the vacancy.

Recruit & Reward is not a recruitment agency, does not select candidates, and does not make hiring decisions.

Recruiters purchase an upfront reward advertising package for each vacancy.

Recruit & Reward retains 10% of that package as a platform administration fee. The remaining 90% forms the candidate reward attached to that advert.

For example, a £500 advertising package creates a £450 candidate reward, subject to the 8-week qualifying period and the reward claim rules.

No. Recruit & Reward is free for candidates.

Candidates do not pay to search for jobs, apply for jobs, or claim a reward.

The candidate reward is funded from the recruiter’s upfront advertising package, not from any payment made by the candidate.

No. Candidate accounts are not required at this stage.

Candidates can apply directly through the job advert by submitting their contact details and CV.

If a candidate is hired and later completes the 8-week qualifying period, they can submit a reward claim using the Claim Reward form on the Recruit & Reward jobs site.

Browse live vacancies on the Recruit & Reward jobs site and apply directly through the relevant job advert.

You will usually be asked for basic contact details, your CV, and any other information requested for that role.

After you apply, the recruiter or employer manages the recruitment process directly. Recruit & Reward does not decide who is interviewed or hired.

You can submit a reward claim after completing 8 weeks in the role, provided you were hired after applying through Recruit & Reward.

The 8-week period is used to confirm that the vacancy resulted in a genuine successful hire.

Rewards are not automatic. You must submit a valid claim and provide the required evidence.

Use the Claim Reward form on the Recruit & Reward jobs site after you have completed 8 weeks in the role.

You will need to provide your application reference, contact details, the job title, and evidence that you were hired and remained in the role beyond the 8-week point.

Suitable evidence may include an offer letter, employment contract, and proof of employment beyond week 8, such as a payslip dated after the qualifying period.

Recruit & Reward reviews the information you submit and contacts the recruiter or employer for verification.

The recruiter or employer may confirm the claim, dispute it with a specific factual reason, or fail to respond within the required timeframe.

If the claim is confirmed, or if the recruiter or employer does not respond after proper notice within the required timeframe, Recruit & Reward may approve the claim under the platform rules.

No. Candidate rewards are conditional.

To qualify, you must apply through Recruit & Reward, be hired for the advertised role, complete the 8-week qualifying period, and submit a valid claim with the required evidence.

If the evidence does not support the claim, or if the claim is successfully disputed, the reward may not be paid.

The candidate reward depends on the reward advertising package chosen by the recruiter for that specific vacancy.

Typical examples are:

  • £250 advert package creates a £225 candidate reward.
  • £500 advert package creates a £450 candidate reward.
  • £1,000 advert package creates a £900 candidate reward.
  • £2,000 advert package creates a £1,800 candidate reward.

The exact candidate reward should be shown on the relevant job advert.

No. Each Recruit & Reward advert funds one candidate reward only.

Multiple candidates may apply for the same vacancy, but only one successful candidate can receive the advertised reward for that advert.

If a recruiter wants to make more than one rewarded hire, they must purchase a separate funded advert or reward slot for each intended hire.

Yes. Candidates can apply for more than one job.

Each application is linked to the specific vacancy you apply for. If you are hired and complete the 8-week qualifying period, any reward claim must relate to the correct job advert and application.

Apply only for roles that genuinely match your skills, experience, and availability.

You should receive confirmation that your application has been submitted.

The recruiter or employer then decides whether to contact you, interview you, or progress your application.

Recruit & Reward provides the advertising and reward process, but it does not make hiring decisions or guarantee interviews.

If a claim is disputed, Recruit & Reward may review limited factual evidence relating to the reward rules.

This may include whether you applied through Recruit & Reward, whether you were hired for the advertised role, and whether you completed the 8-week qualifying period.

Recruit & Reward does not adjudicate wider workplace disputes or employment disagreements.

The recruiter or employer is given a fixed response window after proper notice of the claim.

If they do not respond within the required timeframe, Recruit & Reward may approve the claim under the platform rules, provided the submitted evidence supports the claim.

This process is designed to prevent valid claims being delayed unnecessarily.

Recruit & Reward advertising packages are paid upfront and are non-refundable once the vacancy is activated.

The candidate reward becomes payable only where a candidate applies through Recruit & Reward, is hired, completes the 8-week qualifying period, and submits a valid claim.

Each paid advert funds one candidate reward only.

Recruit & Reward uses candidate information to process applications, manage reward claims, and verify eligibility where required.

Application details may be shared with the relevant recruiter or employer for the role you applied for. Reward claim evidence is used to assess and verify the claim.

Recruit & Reward does not sell candidate data.

Jobs can appear across different sectors, depending on which recruiters and employers choose to advertise.

Recruit & Reward is particularly suited to roles where a cash candidate reward may help attract stronger applicants or make a vacancy stand out.

As the platform grows, the range of advertised roles may expand.

Important: This FAQ summarises the Recruit & Reward model for general information. Candidate rewards are subject to the platform rules, the terms applicable to the relevant advert, and the evidence submitted during the reward claim process.
